Do you remember when you were a child and your mother or father tucked you into bed and read you a bedtime story?

Let me tell you a short story... One of Walt Disney's employees was passing him in the corridor, when he happened to notice that Walt was staring out the window watching the rain. The employee asked him if everything was ok, and could he get him anything.

Walt looked at him and said, "look out the window and tell me what you see". The rather shocked employee looked and said, "well, I see the rain falling sir, that's all".

Walt, look at him and smiled. "Son, when I look out the window I see through eyes of a 12-year-old boy, who's imagination is running through the puddles, fighting a war or is the Captain of a Pirate ship. So to answer your question son, I am perfectly happy as I am, and I don't need anything".

That's what Walt's gift was. He had the ability to think like a child, and could convey the stories children would want to see.

Notice that I said to see, because telling a story is not just the written word, it could be anything that conveys an idea or concept. It could be a movie or social media. It could be a TV Ad or a billboard. They are all trying to convey a story.
